Dear Friends of the ACMS:

Like going out on a long-sought first date, or like arriving at the airport to start a European vacation, or like watching the peonies your grandmother planted bloom once again, those first moments before one of our music ensembles plays is full of anticipation and hope.

You and I are so fortunate that those who have gone before us created a tradition of excellence for the Asheville Chamber Music Series. Your current Board of Trustees takes seriously its responsibility to keep faith with the past. We have the best possible Program Committee Chair in Polly Feitzinger: her quiet leadership of her committee and her thoughtful scheduling with artist agents are at the heart of what we do.

But it is you, as a member of the community that supports our chamber music, who make possible our remarkable concert series. Your ticket purchase is crucial to this process. But to present an annual series requires your financial commitment in other ways as well: will you be an annual donor? Will you underwrite a piece of music or sponsor a whole concert? Will you patronize our program sponsors? Will you tell us about a chamber ensemble you heard in a glamorous capital city that we could bring to Asheville?
